Synopsis

Olivia Kaspen is a sharp tongued manipulator used to always getting what she wants. With just one exception-Caleb Drake, the one she foolishly let slip away. After a chance encounter brings Caleb back into her life, Olivia finds herself wanting a second chance with her first love, and asking herself how far she is willing to go to get him back. Her only problem is a red head named Leah, Caleb's new love. Olivia must fight for what was once hers, and in the process discover that sometimes love falls short of redemption.

My Thoughts

Just After Reading
It was 4 am in the morning and I have just finished reading about this fucked up crazy bitch Olivia. And after that ending, I don't know that I should feel sad and cry or I should just feel a little satisfied that the ending was at the very least not as fucked up as I was expecting it to be.

Now
It's almost 3 pm now and I still don't know what I should be feeling. Normally I am able to write downs a detailed review after a read this good. But, this time I am not able to form a structure around which I could write my Review. So I am just going to write down what I am feeling.

I have not been in a good place reading wise. So when I started this one I just wanted to finish it in one sitting like old times. And I did it.

Now on to the story. Olivia Kaspen is not your regular new adult. She is scarred, has built walls around her and over analyze every good thing that happens to her. She is cautious and can't easily expect that good thing can happen to her because if they do she is confident she will ruin it with her own hands. She is so much cautious that she has become a sort of manipulative and a lying bitch. I won't say she is hard hearted but I think she is a victim of her own actions which she undertakes without stopping to process the situation and hurting herself and the people around her.

Caleb is her driving force. She is obsessed with him and in the process to getting him she crosses all her boundaries while being fully aware that what she is doing is very wrong. They had a very complicated relationship and things were not easy because of Olivia's inability to express her feeling at right time and in right way. I find her to be a vengeful woman.

But even after all their own complications and those added by this other Redhead Bitch, I had hopes for them. Hope that Olivia will come back to her senses that they'll work through this. My hope rose when I discovered the truth about Caleb's amnesia. But then Tarryn goes and makes Time the biggest villain for me the very next page. As soon as I saw the Time Leap I knew all is gone. I stopped hoping and was bracing myself for an ominous thundering end. I stopped guessing because it was fruitless, you really can't guess what is going to happen next.

The only consolation is that there are still two books in the series and I may get a somewhat better view of their lives.
I am not completely dissatisfied with the ending because the realist in me think that at least it was a realistic, bit relatable ending. There were parts where I could able to relate to Olivia, to her cautious thinking and what happened with her made me a bit scared for me :P

Can't wait to see what more craziness lies ahead for these people.
